Kucinich Talks Impeachment

Congressman Dennis Kucinich of Ohio, in a heroic effort, took to a nearly empty House floor last night and introduced 35 articles of impeachment against President George W. Bush. He read each article in its entirety, an effort that took nearly five hours. The mainstream media, and the progressive blogosphere, have largely ignored this historic story. I’ll leave it to you to speculate as to why that happened.

You can expect the leadership of the Democratic Party to ignore this as well because, as always, they lack the political will to do what their oath compels them to do. It is clear that high crimes and misdemeanors have been committed by this administration. I don’t even think that the President himself could deny that. It doesn’t matter though. History will judge them. History will also show that thanks to Dennis Kucinich, these charges are now part of the record.
